There is a poster on the wall of Kat's room advertising the band called The Gits whose lead singer Mia Zapata was killed in Seattle in 1993. This goes along with Kat's liking of bands like Bikini Kill and The Raincoats.

Goofs
In the first scene with Patrick, his book bag strap can be seen in one shot, then in the next shot it's gone.

Just before Joey pulls up behind Kat's car, his red convertible can be seen reflected in the windows across the street as it sits waiting to enter the scene.

The tagline for the film is 'How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways'. However, this isn't from Taming of the Shrew, or even Shakespeare at all - its Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Q
What are the differences between the old British BBFC 12 Version and the Uncensored Version?
A
In the UK, one scene was removed for the theatrical release because that scene shows a butterfly getting flipped open. This version was rated BBFC 12. All the following releases on VHS and also on DVD contained the same version. But the recent Blu-ray and DVD release in 2010 (10th Anniversary Edition) is uncut and also rated BBFC 12. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
Q
What song is playing when they are throwing the posters down the stairs?
A
It's called 'Sexy Boy' by Air. The rest of the scenes and corresponding scenes can be found here. at what-song.
Q
What is the poem Kat says at the end?
A
Kats paraphrase of Shakespeares Sonnet 141 [Though, strictly speaking, this isn't a paraphrase. It is just inspired by sonnet 141 (though it is basically just an original poem from the screenwriters).]I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair.I hate the way you drive my car,I hate it when you stare.I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind.I hate you so much it makes me sick, it even makes my rhyme.I hate the way you're always right, I hate it when you lie,I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry.i hate it when you're not around and the fact that you didn't callbut mostly i hate the way i don't hate you not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all."Sonnet 141In faith, I do not love thee with mine eyes,For they in thee a thousand errors note; But 'tis my heart that loves what they despise,Who in despite of view is pleased to dote;Nor are mine ears with thy tongue's tune delighted,Nor tender feeling, to base touches prone,Nor taste, nor smell, desire to be invitedTo any sensual feast* with thee alone*:But my five wits* nor my five senses canDissuade one foolish heart from serving thee,Who leaves unsway'd the likeness of a man*,Thy proud hearts slave and vassal wretch to be:Only my plague thus far I count my gain,That she that makes me sin awards me pain.
