Goofs
In the final scene of the film, when Aron is swimming in the family pool, his arm is gone in close up shots however when the angle changes to a birds eye view directly above, both arms are visible as he swims.

When Aron is watching the film of Kristi and Megan in the pool on his camera, it moves too far to the left, so a hand is seen pushing the camera back into shot. This can't be Aron's hand as he's holding the camera.

After crashing with his bike in the beginning of the movie, Aron clearly lies a couple of feet away from it. When he takes a photo of himself a few seconds later, however, he suddenly lies with his head on top of the bike.

Quotes
Aron Ralston: Good morning, everyone! It's 6:45 Tuesday morning in BJ Canyon! The weather is great. I figure by now that Leona, my housemate - Hi, Leona! - has missed me hopefully since I didn't show up last night. Another hour and a half they'll miss me for not showing up at work... Hi, Brion at work! Best case scenario is they notify the police and after a 24 hour hold they file a report, a missing person's report. Which means noon tomorrow it's official that I'm gone. I do still have the tiniest bit of water left. Well, actually, I've resorted... I've had a couple pretty good gulps of urine that I saved in my Camelbak. I sort of let it distill... It tastes like hell. So, it's 70 hours since I left on my bike from Horseshoe Trailhead during which time I have consumed 3 liters of water, a couple of mouthfuls of piss...

Q
What happened to his arm?
A
Aron amputated his arm above his wrist. Rescue crews returned to the canyon and recovered the remains of his hand and wrist. The rock was so heavy that they had to use a hydraulic jack to free the remains, which were later cremated. Aron scattered the ashes over the boulder where he was trapped.
Q
How accurate is this movie?
A
The real Ralston insisted the film be as authentic as possible before production. When he saw the finished film he said that he felt the movie was, "so factually accurate it is as close to a documentary as you can get and still be a drama." One part that was invented for the movie was the hidden pool at the beginning.
Q
Is "127 Hours" based on a book?
A
Yes. 127 Hours is based on the autobiography Between a Rock and a Hard Place (2004) by Aron Ralston.
