News announcer quotes Vladimir Putin that "the loss Georgia was a major geopolitical tragedy of the twentieth century" (apparently meaning the South Ossetian War 1991-92). Putin has never said that. In fact, in 2005 he referred to collapse of the Soviet Union the main geopolitical tragedy of the twentieth-century.
