In the beginning description, the children should be described as" neglected" NOT "wayward".

The DVD version of the movie has scenes and extended scenes that were cut/shortened in recent television airings of the film on the Hallmark Channel.

This was the 203rd Hallmark Hall of Fame (1951) television presentation.

Kurt Deutsch is credited on-screen for playing "Alexander Thomas" although (as revealed in the dialog) the character's surname is "Foster".

Paul Collins is credited on-screen for playing "Gerald Thomas" although (as revealed in the dialog) the character's surname is "Foster".

After Nathan convinces Emilie to give him and the town two weeks, there is a montage of scenes implying the passage of time. However, in the final scene after the montage ends when Nathan comes out of the house and they're all admiring the lights, it's the same day as the day he convinced her to stay for two weeks. Also during the montage you see the Christmas tree up without any decorations; however, previously, when Alexander Foster shows up at her door, the tree is there and fully decorated.
