Trivia
The names of several of the main characters are never revealed in the movie until the cast list in the closing credits. This applies to Georgina (Bonnie Wright), Yoshiko (Natasha Gott), Utami (Cinta Laura Kiehl) and Kavi (Abhi Sinha), even though most of them had prominent roles in the movie.

The exit code Mr. Zimit types in the second iteration (and memorized by Bonnie) reads out as 7-3-8-7-2. Corresponding letters on a phone keypad would reveal that it spells out P-E-T-R-A, hinting on the ending of the film.

Goofs
Perhaps intentionally, the student summarizes only a portion of Plato's Cave, not the entire allegory.

In the first bunker, it was said that a maximum of ten lives could be sustained. Any more and all would die of hypoxia. If the same rules applied in the second bunker, then the mandate to procreate would create new lives that could not be sustained if any children were born prior to the end of the year. And, even if the children were born after the characters exited the bunker, the pregnancies alone could cause too much extra drainage from the oxygen supply. Furthermore, if there were a greater oxygen supply in the second bunker, then there would have been no reason to limit the number of survivors to only ten in the game.

Quotes
Toby: Junk the ancient rules of thought / by which our predecessors fought / Their clashing minds did throw a spark / that scorched the world and wreaked the dark / Let no science fix our path / if only numbers make its math / Our brains will run, we'll surely see, / on some sweeter philosophy / Until beneath a quiet sky / atop the rubble we will stand / and finally demystify / the message in fate's reprimand / Even an atomic blast / can't rub the future from the past / If with incinerated grace / we still become the human race.

Petra: In my apocalypse, everybody's worth as much as everybody else. We live briefly, but we don't mind. And when it's time to die, we don't resist death. We summon it.
