AMichael Weyland is the current CEO of Weyland-Yutani. The Bishop androids are made in his likeness. At the end of the game: The surviving marines take over his personal shuttle and Hicks shoots him in the head. Revealing that he is yet another android, albeit a special model. He is dressed the same as Bishop II in Alien 3, however that Bishop had red blood. It's likely this was intended to be revealed in the sequel.
QHow can Cpl. Hicks be in the game if he died in Alien 3?
AHicks appears at the very beginning of the game in a video log aboard the Sulaco. Later on during the game:Winter, O'Neal and Bella go to rescue a captured marine that was supposedly from the Sulaco. It's revealed to be Hicks (Michael Biehn). Which brought up the question as to how he was there, seeing as how he was killed during the EEV crash on Fury 161. Hicks then reveals that he was awakened out of cryosleep when the Sulaco was experiencing trouble over Fury 161 because he was the highest ranking officer and only Marine on board the ship at the time. Hicks discovered that the Sulaco was being taken over by Weyland-Yutani mercenaries who in fact have been living on the Sulaco unbeknownst to the Marines during the entire time during the events of Aliens. Hicks did not go into details of how it happened but he admits that the body in his cryotube was that of a mercenary. In the film Alien 3 you see a mangled corps that cant really be identified; the only way the prisoners on Fury 161 thought it was Hicks was because the data from the Cryotube said it was him. The films also show how Weyland-Yutani loves a good cover-up.
QWhich characters from Aliens will be returning?
ABishop and Hicks have been confirmed that they will return. Hudson, Drake and Apone appear as playable characters in the multiplayer section of the game.
