Trivia
Steve Martin once said of this picture in Morris Wayne Walker's book "Steve Martin: The Magic Years" (1999): "My mature film career started with All of Me (1984) and ends with L.A. Story (1991)".
First of two movies that former partners Steve Martin and Victoria Tennant made together. The second and final film was L.A. Story (1991) which was made and released around seven years later in 1991.
Both of the film's comedic leads, Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin, were nominated for the Golden Globe lead acting award in a comedy or musical for their respective real genders. Neither won but Martin was awarded the Best Actor Award from both the New York Film Critics Circle Awards and the National Society of Film Critics Awards.
Roger has a watch on when he arrives at Edwina's wake but loses it when he falls asleep and when Terry wakes him up, he has to ask her what time it is. He gets it back in the next scene, however, when he and Terry get in bed.
Once Edwina's soul has entered Terry Hoskins's body, it makes no sense that she would still have a British accent. Victoria Tennant masks her accent immediately after the event, but lapses back into it when she says, "I love it when you talk like a beer commercial."
