Trivia
Taking the documentary direction was in fact a solution to a problem. The producers chose to montage memorable performances from TV and film to overcome a string of failed interview footage from a Hollywood Arts Society live event.

The title was chosen based on an earlier title "Around the Table" to illustrate people's discussions "around the table". The title was renamed "Artists of the Roundtable" which references the round table of King Arthur in which all the knights were equals. No matter what the rank, all were there to protect each other - thus, if you're a local stand-up comic or a studio established film director, they are both artists in their own respects.

Quotes
Mike Foster: Its the artist who is really a visionary - someone who's not thinking about box office records, ratings, or other cliché kind of stuff... they are just doing their art.

Grae Drake: The people that constantly reach inside of themselves and really go to that vulnerable place where they're sharing something that means so much to them or makes them so happy or so sad... is magnificent.

Duncan Trussell: If there weren't artists or people going outside the box then the basic American drone would loose the current illusion that gives them the sense that their life has meaning.
