Trivia
The character of Kendra Shaw was created specially for this one-off.

Prior to airing on TV, Razor was screened in theaters in selected cities to pre-registered fans. However, a full theatrical release was not possible, for legal reasons: although Universal Studios owns the television rights to the Galactica franchise, movie rights are owned by Glen A. Larson, who created the original 1970's movie/show. Despite a Consulting Producer credit (and salary), Larson had no input for the new series whatsoever. Any theatrical release, however, would require Larson's approval.

Fans were able to vote for the cover of the DVD, which had a street date shortly after the TV-premiere. On the official site three different covers were on-line to vote on. After voting fans got an exclusive look in special clips from "Razor".

During the Recon Mission Starbuck's and Showboat's vipers continually change CGI design in each shot between the original viper 7 CGI design and the Design first scene in "Maelstorm", and end in the Flightpod shot as different designs to each other.

In the scene where soldiers are putting together their rifles while blindfolded, the soldier that Shaw orders to fire on her originally takes his blindfold off completely. Following shots switch between the blindfold being pushed down around his neck and completely off.
