Trivia
In the original the vending machine would exclaim "It's a circus of value!" In Bioshock Infinite they say "It's a carnival of thrift!"

At the end of the game where Booker is confronted by multiple Elizabeth's, one of the Elizabeths is the Beta model of the character seen in the first gameplay footage. This may be a subtle inference that even the previously showcased version of BioShock Infinite (with different game mechanics and designs) is canon in another universe.

At one point in the story, a female soldier seemingly confuses Elizabeth with someone called "Annabelle." This is a reference to the Russian cosplayer, Anna Moleva, whose replicated look of Elizabeth was so similar that she was hired to represent the character for promotional material.

Q
Will this game have any connection with the first two.
A
They both exist within the game's universe, but since Rapture was built much later than Columbia, almost no-one in Columbia knows about Rapture. It is revealed via audio recordings that select few from Rapture looked into the future Rapture and took advantage of some things that were revealed to them in this way (mostly technology).Players return to Rapture briefly within the game, but it is not important to the general storyline.
Q
In the game trailer was that Andrew Ryan in the balcony with the gramophone?
A
No. Andrew Ryan makes no appearance in Bioshock Infinite.
Q
What year does this game take place?
A
Vast majority of the game takes place in 1912, 48 years before the events of the original game. Due to quantum physics and time travel being involved in the story, there are also moments and elements from other years, between 1880 and 1980.
