Trivia
The gas mask that Walt holds and admires in his final seconds is the same one from the pilot.

A main plot point of Breaking Bad concerns the main character, Walt, being a bona fide chemistry genius. Marius Stan, who plays Walt's impressively-eyebrowed boss at the carwash Bogdan, in real life is an actual chemistry genius. He has a PhD in Chemistry, and still works in that field. Breaking Bad was his first foray into acting.

Only twice during the series does Jesse refer to Walt by his first name.

Goofs
In multiple episodes the view in the rear view and side mirrors is reversed from what it should be. It makes the driver in the trailing car appear to be sitting in the right front passenger seat of the car.

In the opening credits, the "Br" and "Ba" in "Breaking Bad" are presented as if they are entries from a periodic table of elements. The additional pieces of information included are atomic number, atomic mass, oxidation states, and electron shell configuration. Each of these is depicted accurately for both Br (bromine) and Ba (barium), except the electron shell configuration for Ba is copied verbatim from Br. Oddly, the periodic table that the entry for Ba is visually extracted from contains the correct information. However, the creators were most likely aware of this, but thought the opening had enough merit to warrant this disregard for correctness under artistic license.

In Walter White's back yard you will notice an outline of a fire place right by their sliding back door, but inside the reverse wall is the dining room/kitchen. Their fire place inside should be on the side of the house.

Q
Why does Walter let T--- die?
A
1)Jesse had a good reason to! Todd murdered the woman Jesse loved, in front of him, just to send him a message. He made Jesse a slave to his Jack's meth business and Jesse and Walt still had not forgotten about what he did to that little boy (Drew Sharp) when they stole the Methlamine from the train. He deserved it. He would not help Walt when Jack had a gun, to Walt, that's as good of a reason for Jessie to kill Todd and Walt to let it happen.2)Todd was one of the people threatening Walt's family.
Q
Did Walt violate the code of 'Omerta' in the Pilot?
A
No. The code of 'Omerta' prevents anyone who willingly enters organized crime from talking to the authorities no matter what happens to them or their families. In the Pilot Walt threatens to turn Jesse in to the DEA if Jesse doesn't agree to help him distribute meth but since Walt hadn't officially entered the meth business the code did not apply to him.Jesse on the other hand did violate the code in the "Rabid Dog" episode when he spilled his guts to Hank about Walt.
Q
Why did Gus slit V-----'s throat?
A
For a number of reasons:1) Victor was spotted at Gale's crime scene and being the cautious man that Gus was he couldn't risk Victor being picked up by the police.2) Victor was cooking meth without permission and that angered Gus, as Walt said in Season 5 Victor "flew too close to the sun."3) Victor failed to save Gale's life. After the death of Max, Gale more than likely became Gus's new lover and therefore Gus took it very personally when Gale was killed.4) To scare the hell out of Walt and Jesse.
