It's learned in this movie where the Care Bears and the Cousins originally came from. They were orphans adopted by both True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse. It also shows how the Care Bears move into Care-A-Lot and the Cousins into the Forest Of Feelings.
During the first song when the bears and cousins are babies, Proud Heart Cat has his tummy symbol. They don't get their tummy symbols until they all reach the Kingdom of Caring.
Near the end of the movie when the kids are waving goodbye to the Care Bears, the unnamed boy (formerly Dark Heart) is shown with blonde hair rather than its usual red color.

Not until their unsuccessful 2001 release of Square Pictures' Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, as far as theatrical efforts are concerned. However, its sister studio, TriStar, released Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw in 1988 to little critical or financial attention. It remained their only such production until 2001's The Trumpet of the Swan.
