Vladimir Horowitz's highly acclaimed 1986 Moscow recital, now known as "Horowitz in Moscow", was first televised live, on 23 April 1986, as an episode of this long-running series. It won such acclaim that it was repeated two months later.

Since 1994, the sign off for the program has been Charles Osgood's signature, "Please join us again next Sunday morning, until then, I'll see you on the radio".
