Trivia
Several references to New Line Cinema (the financing studio) throughout the film: New Line Chairman Robert Shaye has a cameo as the irate man in the police station.Ricky's backpack is that of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).At the kidnappers' house, the New Line Cinema movie Final Destination 2 (2003) is playing on the television. It also makes numerous references to the series, such as the truck crashing into Ryan's car (using the same sound effects) and an announcement at the airport referencing a Flight 180, the same flight in the first movie.Producer Dean Devlin has a cameo as the cab driver who drives Ryan.

Goofs
When going through security at LAX a gun is discovered when officer Ethan is going through screening. He flashes a badge and security lets him through. In reality it would take more proof than just flashing a badge to convince a TSA agent that Ethan was a police officer.

When Jessica cuts the goon's arm she tells him that he will bleed 30 liters/minute. The blood flow through a brachial artery is nowhere near that much. During vigorous exercise the entire heart puts out a total of 30 L/min, but that's the sum total flow through every artery of the body. The flow though a single brachial artery is fraction of that. In addition, the goon was not vigorously exercising. At rest, the cardiac output is about 5 L/min.

At LAX airport, when Ryan steals someone's boarding pass, the security only checks his boarding pass and does not ask for any ID like they would at the real LAX.

Quotes
Chad: Dude, I have no idea what just happened. One minute I'm talking to nipples, next thing you know, I'm wearing a whale costume handing out flyers.

Mooney: 27 years. 27 years without this shit!
