Trivia
The Adolf Hitler character is mistaken for Charles Chaplin on more than one occasion in this movie. Once by a cab driver and once by the King, Hitler is the subject of mistaken identity joke for Chaplin's the Tramp character from the classic silent comedy The Gold Rush (1925) where he is remembered for eating his shoe. Interestingly, it is of note that Chaplin spoofed and parodied Adolf Hitler in his later movie, The Great Dictator (1940),

This comedy uses as a running joke the Hitler one testicle gag from a version of "Hitler Has Only Got One Ball" lyrics sung to the Colonel Bogey March. It's even seen performed at a London concert much to Hitler's chagrin. The lyrics for the version performed here are: "Hitler has only got one ball, Göring has two but very small, Himmler is somewhat sim'lar, But poor old Goebbel's got no balls at all." Hitler's high-ranking off-siders Goebbels and Göring appear in the film.

Goofs
A royal servant throws Prince Mario's gift into a sack. The same gift reappears back in the royal servant's hand immediately after, only to be re-thrown into the same sack - in the same manner as before.

There are three consecutive shots of the scene where the Fuehrer crashes a car into a building. The first and third shots appear to be from the same take. The second shot, however, has the following anomalies: Martin Bormann ("Hollywood" version) and Lord W'Ruff appear closer to the car and more to the (viewers') left of it; a luggage tag has moved; a white cuff can be seen from beneath Bormann's jacket sleeve; W'Ruff's scarf is draped differently.

As Princess Elizabeth ("Hollywood" version) admonishes US Churchill to shoot Hitler, the camera shot changes mid-sentence - and shows the Princess' arms to be in a different position than before.

King George VI: [to royal guests] Right, show's over. Time to go home - okay? C'mon. Let's go. C'mon, obey me please, I'm The King. Off you go. C'mon on. Sod off. Come on. Come on with you. Off you go, now. Jolly good. C'mon on, now. Back to your homes, or embassies, or wherever you're from. Put that glass down and fuck off!
