Trivia
Initially a car chase sequence was to be implemented into the game, although it was scrapped during development. The car does make it into the final product, however, as the car that the main character arrives in.

According to the game developers on the DVD Director's Cut commentary, the player was originally going to discover Spen Jankowski's body early in the game (after he leaves, of course). This was changed as it was thought to be more atmospheric for Jankowski's final fate to be left undiscovered, although whenever he appears as a ghost he has no eyes (Jin Sun-Kwon says at one point that she has found human remains and that they could be Jankowski's, but she would need to test them to confirm).

Goofs
While the player's goal is to eliminate Paxton Fettel through the entirety of the game, it is very possible to kill him in the very first level. At one point during the first Interval/Stage, the player can activate Slow Mo and squeeze off several rounds of fire into Paxton before he knocks the Point Man out with a 2X4. However, none of the bullets register and the Point Man is predestined to be knocked out regardless of their actions.

Quotes
Paxton Fettel: You again... they tried to bury their sins, but instead planted the seeds of their doom. A war is coming. I've seen it in my dreams. Fire sweeping over the earth, bodies in the streets, cities turned to dust. Retaliation.

Norton Mapes: You have to destroy this facility... before he lets her out. There are four energy pylons, damage the reactor cells and you'll trigger a chain reaction... blow the whole place to hell, where it belongs. If he lets Alma out... you have to stop him!

Q
Who is the little girl and what is her story?
A
The little girl who so often appears throughout "F.E.A.R." is Alma Wade, the focus of Project Origin. She was discovered to have paranormal abilities and was subsequently experimented on. She gave birth to a prototype (The F.E.A.R. Pointman) whom was deemed unsuccessful and was transferred to the Icarus Program (where he inherited his incredible reflexes). She gave birth to a second prototype known as Paxton Fettel. Whenever she was not in labour, she was locked away in The Vault. When Fettel was ten years old, Alma's mind synchronised with Fettel's, causing a disaster which resulted in some deaths. Not wanting to risk another synchronicity event, Armacham pulled the plug on Project Origin, and Alma died six days later.Nevertheless, she managed to synchronise with Fettel again, this time as an adult, and she is manipulating him to free her from The Vault, and take her revenge on her captors ...
Q
What are the differences between the Console Versions and the PC Version?
A
Due to unknown reasons, all console versions of the FPS F.E.A.R. were published worldwide with some alterations. The game contains a lot less blood on both the XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3, no blood is splatering against walls and gory textures on enemies are missing as well. However, if the player kills an enemy by severing a limb or making him burst, blood can be seen on both the environment and the enemies. Corpses that are part of the level as decoration also still lie in their own blood. In the XBOX 360 version, this has already been fixed by a patch which was released on XBOX Live. It is therefore probable that this censoring was/is a bug and not planned by the developers. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
