Trivia
Some scenes (such as Bobby watching a filmstrip while being briefed on the Palace of Death, and Bobby exploring the palace at night wearing all black) feature costumes and settings identical to those in scenes from Enter the Dragon (1973), indicating that Bruce Lee was originally intended to "star" as the main character throughout via inserts. (In the finished film, footage of Lee is used only for a smaller supporting role as the main character's brother.)

Both the English dubbed and original Chinese versions (not the version on the Hong Kong Universe DVD) feature music scores from other films. The English dubbed versions feature a large number of Denny Zeitlin's music cues from Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) and one or two from Jerry Goldsmith's score for Alien (1979), while the original Chinese versions features a large number of Les Baxter's music cues from The Dunwich Horror (1970).

Bruce Lee had filmed over 30 minutes of fight scenes for Game of Death (1978) when work was suspended to allow Lee to work on Enter the Dragon (1973). However, Lee died before he could return. Six years later, director Robert Clouse fleshed out a feature around the original footage with a new cast, including two stand-ins for Lee. After the success of Game of Death in Japan, there was high demand for a new Bruce Lee movie there. As a result, much of the movie is filmed in and takes place in Japan.

When Lewis delivers the final kick to the face of the second of the Wu/Yen brothers, a wire harness for the stuntman can clearly be seen sticking out from the arms of his vest.

The wire to pull the monk in mid-air (after being thrown by Bobby Lo) is a little too late, he ends up being pulled along the ground instead.

Q
What are the differences between the Hongkong Version and the International Version?
A
Two different versions exist of Game Of Death 2: the HK Version (Theatrical Version) and the International Version. The only missing scenes in the HKV are some flashbacks, but unfortunately the greenhouse fight is one of them. That makes the HKV kind of useless, but then again the IVL is dubbed in English which is a big disadvantage of this version. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
