Trivia
When Zach Braff sent the script to people, he would also send them a copy of the songs which would eventually be the soundtrack (which he handpicked). That is why on the actual soundtrack album, all of the songs are in the order that they appear in the movie.
Gary Gilbert, a former mortgage banker, financed the film with $2.5 million of his own money. At Sundance, the film was bought by Miramax and Fox Searchlight for $5 million.
After Andrew, Mark and Sam leave the ark wearing garbage bags
to protect them from the rain, you can see that Sam's pink sweater is dry under the garbage, but was a dark, wet pink when they were inside the ark from being out in the rain earlier. The sweater could not have dried while they were inside the ark.
Dr. Cohen: You know, our bodies are capable of doing some very funny things when they're consumed by stress and anxiety. Uh, I found my ex-best friend's cufflinks in my wife's purse. I couldn't get an erection for a year and a half. For example.
