Harpo Marx was one of only two of The Marx Brothers to play a recurring role in their films (not counting when they used their own names). He played the role of "Pinky" in both Horse Feathers (1932) and Duck Soup (1933) .

Goofs
Just before the brothers board the garbage can chariot, Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, and Zeppo Marx chase Harpo Marx as he runs the wrong way down the football field (chasing a dog). It is clear in this shot that Chico is a stand in. In the following shot, as they ride in the garbage can chariot, the Chico stand-in hides behind The Marx Brothers.

During the "I'm against it" number, Groucho kicks a stack of papers off the desk, and we see them landing on the floor. The papers can be seen on the desk in subsequent shots.

The audio commentary over the first quarter of the football game refers to Darwin's fourth touchdown but the score at the end of the first quarter is 12-0. The score for a touchdown is 6 points, as we see when Huxley score their first.
