Trivia
The gear shift in the car was originally in the steering column. It was installed into the floorboard to fit the needs of the script.

The original truck from the film is owned by a private collector in Maryland, who keeps it in storage awaiting the filming of JC3.

Goofs
When the Jenners pull up to the diner, only the left side stop lights light up (red). When the Creeper attacks the police behind them later and they brake, both sides light up; the driver's-side stop lights light white and the passenger-side lights light red.

When Darry slips into the pipe, he should have landed on the two "packages" that the Creeper already threw down the pipe. Instead he lands on bare ground, with no sign of the packages nearby.

Jonathan Breck's skin is visible around the Creeper's eyes (there is no eyeliner to match the monster's skin).

Q
What is the Creeper?
A
No explanation of the creature's origins is given, other than that it has apparently been awakening to feed for centuries (there are hundreds of corpses in the creature's lair, and in Jeepers Creepers 2, we find out that some of them are more than 200 years old). The directors have hinted that it might have originally been human at one point, a very long time ago, but it is not now.One possibility is that the creature is a chimera of sorts, with two parts: the web/wing, and the human body parts. In the second movie, there is a part where the web/wing replaces the Creeper's head. It is possible that the web/wing is the actual "Creeper" itself, and the human body parts are simply a means of movement and survival.
Q
Why does the creeper travel round by truck if he has wings?
A
1. People can walk, yet they still travel by car.2. The Creeper can carry multiple bodies in his truck3. The Creeper likes to scare its victims by ramming them off the road.
Q
Will there be a third installment?
A
Victor Salva has been working for years to get a third installment of his JEEPERS CREEPERS film series off of the ground. The second one grossed $63 million worldwide on a budget of $17 million, so its a little surprising that it has been so difficult for him. According to STYD and Bloody Disgusting though, he may finally get to make JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 (apparently titled JEEPERS CREEPERS III: CATHEDRAL) soon.Salva reportedly shot a scene back in October to prepare for filming and has a script ready to go. Plot, casting, and production details are unknown but Salva did offer up this quote,"There may finally be some very good news for those waiting for the third Jeepers film to go before the cameras."I really liked the first hour of the first film and didnt mind the rest of it, but have a hard time recalling anything about the second film. Hopefully though, Salva has something great in mind for a third film because I love the idea of Creature Features making a comeback.
