The original cast was Aditya Pancholi, Rahul Roy and a new find Priya. Due to date issues Rahul Roy had to drop out of the project. The new find Priya was replaced with Monica Bedi.

The film was launched in 1992 at the same function launching the music of Dil Ka Kya Kasoor. The director of the movie then was Mahesh Bhatt but due to date problems Mahesh Bhatt could only direct the introduction to this film as the film took several years to complete because of over budgeting.

The footage in the start credits is taken from Mukesh Duggal's earlier film Saathi (1991).
