Kojak's father was of Polish heritage and his mother was African-American.

Just as in the original series (Kojak (1973)), Kojak drives a non police issue car. The new Kojak car is a silver Chrysler 300C complete with "Hemi" engine , the car is also equipped with state of the art LED police lighting.
