M. Night Shyamalan:
[Pennsylvania]
Shyamalan demanded that the set be within 45 minutes of his Pennsylvania home. He timed the trip which took 43 minutes.
Before Cleveland Heep dives into the pool after Story, he takes his glasses off. After Story saves him, his glasses appear and disappear during shots, especially during the sequence where he is talking to the tenants.
In the bathroom scene where Cleveland Heep is speaking with Story, you can see a towel rack directly behind him with two towels hanging on it. They are both draped on it with the same length of towel showing. In the subsequent scene when they pan back to Cleveland, the towel on the right is clearly shorter than the towel placed on the towel rack on the left.
Story: [holding Cleveland's journal]
Your thoughts are very sad. Most are of one night. A night a man entered your home when you were not there. He stole many things and killed your wife and children. That is when you stopped being happy. You were a doctor. I am very sorry for you. You believe you have no purpose. You help all that live here.
