This is one of the few television series to be shot with anamorphic lenses.

The show is based on an original screenplay by Michael Petroni, that had been purchased by Spyglass Entertainment. When Spyglass decided to turn the screenplay into a television series, they hired Richard Hatem to adapt it into long-form format. Petroni and Hatem share credit as the show's creators.

This series was recorded and broadcast (on HD networks) in 1:78:1 widescreen. The studio that released it on DVD however did so in it's cropped 1:33:1 version, making widescreen copies of episodes quite rare among the general public.
