Trivia
Navi Rawat's character is named "Amita Ramanujan", a reference to Srinivasa Ramanujan, a self-taught Indian mathematician who worked in the first two decades of the 20th century, most notably collaborating with G.H. Hardy in number theory.

Many regulars and guest stars on this show had previously worked with star David Krumholtz on other projects. Krumholtz had already played Judd Hirsch's son in the 1992 Broadway play 'Conversations With My Father'; Krumholtz played Peter MacNicol's camper in Addams Family Values (1993); Krumholtz and guest star Neil Patrick Harris appeared together in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004) and its sequel. Also Joseph Gordon-Levitt who appeared in the episode Sacrifice worked with David in the film '10 Things I Hate About You.'

According to an interview that Rob Morrow gave to 'The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles', the Eppes family was not explicitly identified as Jewish until the fifth season, when Morrow asked the showrunners to make a point of it and to include a storyline in which his character, Don, starts to explore his religion (Morrow may have forgotten that in the season four episode "Robin Hood," Charlie does mention that he is Jewish). There were some implicit references to the family's Judaism earlier than that, however, including the comment in the very first episode about Alan serving brisket on Friday nights and Don and Charlie's conversation in the Season 3 episode "Provenance" about how it was weird that their mother had wanted a Christmas tree.

The FBI building in Numb3rs is the same building as the Philly Police Dept in Cold Case, the same building where Don Self's office is located in Prison Break and the same building as the San Francisco Register in Womens Murder Club and it has appeared in Journeyman. It has also appeared in many movies including Grandma's Boy and In Good Company. It's the main building at L.A. Center Studios near downtown Los Angeles. http://www.lacenterstudios.com/
