Quotes
Harold Finch: [Opening narration, Season 4] We are being watched. The government has a secret system, a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people. The Government considers these people "irrelevant". We don't. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us, but victim or perpetrator, if your number's up... we'll find *you*.

Q
When Reese & Finch find the threat, why don't Fusco and Carter ask any questions about their knowledge of the crime.
A
In an episode of the second season, Carter asks Reese to tell her more about what they do and how they get their numbers.Reese replied that everyone who knows the secret has lost everything in their life and as Carter has a son, it's best for her not to know. Carter never asked him again.Fusco was forced into tracking down numbers with Reese via blackmail when it was discovered he was a dirty cop. As such, he knows not to ask many questions & do as he's told.
Q
Where did the idea(s) for this series come from?
A
It is based on a screenplay developed by J. J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan. Which is heavily inspired by movies like Enemy of the State & The Bourne Identity. The idea for the show came about long before Edward Snowden and Prism story came out. And to make it not that obvious, the show contains the usual Cop-Drama elements!
Q
Is Sarah Shahi joining the main cast next season or will she continue as a recurring character?
A
As of season three, Sarah Shahi is part of the main cast.
