Mie and Kei spoke no English and had to learn their lines phonetically. This made rewrites of their dialogue practically impossible.

The show's title was supposed to be "Pink Lady and Jeff". But the group's managers insisted that the title be only "Pink Lady" and threatened to sue NBC if Jeff Altman was included. "Pink Lady and Jeff" was used in promos and the DVD box set.
