Actress Summer Glau had auditioned for the role of Alyssa, and was second choice for the role.

First Power Rangers series under the newly-renamed BVS Entertainment, formerly known as Saban Entertainment, after News Corporation (parent company of 20th Century Fox and the Fox Broadcasting Company) and Haim Saban (founder of Saban Entertainment and executive producer of the series) sold Fox Family Worldwide to the Walt Disney Company the franchise's new owner that renamed FFW as ABC Family.

Though the Fox network aired it for the first half of the series, "Wild Force" was the only Power Rangers series to air on ABC for the remainder of the series. Later, ABC aired "Power Rangers Ninja Storm", which became the very first Power Rangers series to air on that network rather than Fox.
