Al Pacino and Donald Sutherland angered the crew one day because of a conversation. On one of the locations, there was one road that led in and out. One day, Pacino and Sutherland began talking about their work while blocking the entrance to the road. Crew members could not come or go and the conversation went on and on. They finally moved out of the way when a huge line of angry people developed behind them.
By the time of Valley Forge, Washington's Continental Army was in such a bad state that most men did not even have shoes or boots, yet no-one in the Valley Forge scenes is barefoot.
When Tom Dobbs (Al Pacino) joins the army, he is greeted with "welcome to the United States Army". The army was actually known as the Continental Army at that time as Washington and his revolutionaries had no way of knowing that Canada would fail to be won in the War Of Independence.
In battle, the British soldiers are depicted taking short steps; in reality, Redcoats were trained to take long paces, so as to close the range quickly.
