When David Essex, an enthusiastic fan of "Rock Concert", appeared on the show to do a live version of his hit song "All The Fun Of The Fair", the lyrics were "live" as well - Essex added a triumphant cry of "DON KIRSHNER!!!" to the song's introduction.

The UFO independent critical review DVD of Strangers In The Night does not feature any actual music from the album in question - every piece of music on it was pulled from this television series.

This show featured the only American television "performance" by the group Led Zeppelin: a clip of "Black Dog" from the 1976 film "The Song Remains The Same".
