Trivia
David Schwimmer:
In the first shot in the bus there is a person sitting six rows in front of Dennis with his head down so you can't see his face. It's the director David Schwimmer watching the scene on his monitor. He is in the shot since there was no room behind the cameraman in the tight confines of the bus.
'Harish Patel', who was cast as Mr. Goshdashtidar, was cast despite the fact that he didn't have any experience driving a scooter, he spent weeks taking lessons to make sure he wouldn't run over any of the other actors.
David Walliams has a cameo as the Man in Bakery. This role is quite similar to his part as "Mr Mann" in a recurrent sketch from Little Britain (2003). In this sketch he plays an annoying customer who always comes up the most ridiculously impossible requests.
When Dennis and Whit have their first conversation in the alley, a taxicab enters the street with its lights on. In the next shot, the lights are off, although it is night time at the moment.
Dennis is arrested for buying tickets from a policeman posing as a tout (scalper) outside the theater showing "Lord of the Rings". In fact it is only an offense to sell tickets in this way, not buy them.
Dennis is incorrectly arrested for buying a theatre ticket from an undercover officer in a sting operation. It is not a criminal offence in England to tout genuine theatre tickets or to buy them from a tout. At worst it is a breach of civil contract with the theatre if they have inserted a "no sell on" clause into the terms of purchase, which would result in Dennis being refused entry by the theatre.
TV Commentator: [Dennis is continuing the marathon into the night on a sprained ankle and torn leg]
Just now joining us is Dennis Doyle, a clothing store security guard, running for the last ten and three quarter hours on basically one leg, He's refusing to rest until this race is run, unbelievable!
