In the scene where Chris Perez (played by Jon Seda) first appears, the close up of his hands playing the guitar are in fact the hands of the real Chris Perez.
AB and Suzette appear to be close in age to 9 year old Selena during her childhood in the early 80s. In real life, AB was 17 and Suzette was 14 during that time frame.
During the beauty saloon scene Selena states that they were flying out to Los Angeles for the Grammys. However the Grammys that were depicted in the film did not take place in Los Angeles. Selena won her Grammy at the 36th Annual Grammy Awards which was held in New York City.
