The red convertible the heroes "borrow" is a 1967 Rambler Rebel SST, a fairly rare vehicle (only 1,686 were made that year). This fact and the film's fairly low budget probably explain why it survived to the end of the film, as this vehicle likely belonged to a private collector.

All gunshot muzzle flashes are obviously computer generated. This is most obvious on the M-16s as no spent shell cases are ejected and most ejection ports are closed during fire.

The supposed military officer orders the use of "explosive-tipped armor-piercing rounds" for his small arms. There is no such thing for pistol and rifle caliber ammunition. The two terms are mutually exclusive.

When the alien sees a helicopter hovering behind him in the distance, it is a twin-rotor transport type aircraft. His arm turns into a rocket launcher and he fires at it. When we see the impact, it has turned into an Apache-type attack helicopter.
