Characters name were purposely dropped during production, increasing the abstract existentialist aspect of the film: it doesn't matter who they are, who their targets are or who they work for.

The original title is "The Algonquin Goodbye" (under which it was written and produced), an ironic reference to the Algonquin Hotel in New York.

Writer Sergio Altieri later wrote a series of three novels called "Sniper" (published in Italy) based on his 'Silent Trigger' script and character.

When Clegg (Gina Bellman) is running to escape the explosion climbing up the elevator shaft, she barges through a pair of doors. In the shot showing this, you can easily see a camera that is mounted in an open section of the floor on the left side of the screen. The following shot is what was filmed from that same camera.

When Waxman goes to investigate the water running in to the room after O'Hara breaks the toilet from the wall, the corridor and entrance to the sniper spot room is several centimetres under water. When Waxman comes back in to the sniper spot room, the corridor and entrance to the room are completely devoid of water and dry.

When O'Hara was flying through the glass, after being shot by Klein, he wasn't cuffed to toilet seat. In the next shot he was cuffed again.
