The film was suppose to be set in the state of Connecticut, but when Jim was running from the tracks the police officers car had the state of Missouri's symbol on it and it says Liberty underneath it. When the leader of the gang Richard Lawson shows up in Jim's class he said he was up from Milford CT.

After the greasers run Billy off the road, two men fishing from the bridge run over to help him, and they have two tackle boxes beside them. A few seconds later when the greasers drive away over the bridge, only one of the tackle boxes is still there.
