After Chase gets beaten up and is talking to Andie, the scar from the fight is present, but when he is talking with Andie after she gets expelled, his scar is not there. There is not sufficient time for it to heal. The scar reappears when he talks to Blake.

At the end when Andie touches Moose's hat, it's magically turned backwards in the next shot.

Quotes
Andie: I remember the first time I saw someone move like they were from another planet, I couldn't keep my eyes away. I was little mom took me to a jam session in the neighborhood, it started off small but word spread and soon some of the best dancers around were showing up to compete in something they eventually called the streets. It became home, I got a front row seat to history. I wanted to glide and spin and fly like they did, but it didn't come easy. My mom would tell me don't give up, just be you, because life's too short to be anybody else. She was right. When I was 16 my mom got sick and in a couple months she was gone. Everything changed, including the streets.

Q
How does the movie end?
A
The MSA crew gets the message from Missy (Danielle Polanco) announcing that the Streets is going to be that night, and they decide to go, even if it means they will all be expelled from the school. The 410 gets their chance to do their routine to the rousing cheers of the audience. When the MSA crew tries to do their routine, however, they are told that they're not welcome and forced to leave, so they do their routine outside in the rain to the spotlights of several car headlights. The onlookers roar with applause and, from the look on the faces of Turk (Black Thomas) and his 410 crew, it's easy to tell that the MSA crew has bested the 410. After the dance is over, Director Collins, who was led to to the competition by Moose (Adam G. Sevani), congratulates Andie and re-instates her in the school. He also suggests that Moose might be in the wrong department, opening the door to him as a dancer. In the final scene, Chase and Andie kiss...and kiss...and kiss.
Q
Are any of the characters/actors returning from "Step Up"?
A
Channing Tatum has a small cameo in the beginning as his character (Tyler Gage) from the first movie, but none of the characters return in a major way.
Q
Is 'Step Up 2' based on a book?
A
No. It is taken from a script by screenwriters Toni Ann Johnson and Karen Barna. It is a sequel to Step Up (2006) and was followed by Step Up 3D (2010), Step Up Revolution (2012), and Step Up All In (2014).
