Trivia
While many infamous video game characters appear as playable fighters, the in-game roster also consists of Nintendo icons such as the ROB Famicom Robot, Customizable Miis, Mr. Game & Watch (a physical embodiment of the Game & Watch era), and the Duck Hunt dog, duck, and zapper.

The Donkey Kong trophy states that Donkey Kong's first game was Donkey Kong country, not the original Donkey Kong game from 1981. It is an accepted theory that the Donkey Kong that appears in the DK Country games, the Mario games, and the Super Smash Bros. is actually Donkey Kong Jr. However, in Nintendo we're citing this theory, they would have said that his his original game was Donkey Kong Jr., not Donkey Kong Country.

The trophy for the Metal Box says that it first appeared in Super Mario 64 (which is correct). However, it says that the box also appears in Super Mario 64, which is not true. In that game, instead of obtaining the metal power up from the green box, the player must obtain a Power Flower while playing as Wario.
