Goofs
At the start of the movie, when Seth and Evan are in the store, you can see Evan filling up a slushy cup and in the next few cut scenes, his hand retains the shape of a slushy cup, but there is no cup in his hand.

When Fogull (McLovin) is shooting at the burning police car near the end of the movie, he fires the gun 10 times. The gun used is a Smith & Wesson 4506, which uses a 8 round box magazine; with the magazine and one bullet in the chamber, he would only have 9 shots.

During the second fight, Mark throws a bottle at Seth, which ends up hitting the cocaine guy. He bends over grabbing his head with both hands and screaming. But in the very next shot he is standing still like nothing happened.

Francis the Driver: I'm gonna be totally honest with you. I have a warrant out for a totally nonviolent crime. Okay? There. Mercy Street, guys.

Seth: Dude! That means that by some fate we were paired together and she thought of me. Thought of me enough to want me to be responsible for the entire funness of her party! She wants to fuck me! She wants my dick in or around her mouth!

What are the differences between the R-Rated theatrical version and the Unrated version of the movie?
A
Basically the Unrated version features several prolonged dialogue sequences that add up to a total difference of approximately 6 minutes. These extensions aren't that scandalous but for a fan of this movie this version is worth a look and features some more funny scenes. You can find a detailed comparison between both versions with pictures here.
Q
What decade does this film take place in?
A
The film is set when it was made, 2006. Look at McLovin's ID for reference.
Q
How did critics react?
A
Superbad attained mostly good reviews but did pick up some less than appreciative comments along the way. On Rotten Tomatoes it has a very solid 88% approval rating and a critical consensus indicating it's a vulgar teen flick, but with genuine heart and wit.Critics quotes:"Supergood." - Total Film, 2007"It's as if Mike Leigh decided to make a gross-out comedy." - BBCi film review, 2007"Doesn't quite have the insight of a classic, but it'll have you smirking for weeks." - Matt Bochenski, 2007"It's misogynistic, homophobic and only occasionally funny" - Phillip French, 2007"Easily one of the funniest movies of the year." - Gary Thompson, 2007"In spite of the film's startling deluge of dirty dialogue and sight gags, tender notes are struck." - Bangor Dailey News. 2007"It super freaking rocks" - Kyle Smith, 2007"Superbad is aptly named" - Mark Kermode, 2007"Superbad" is a four-letter raunch-a-rama with a heart, and an inordinate interest in other key organs." - Roger Ebert, 2007"And, while Superbad may not be "supergood," it's engaging enough to be worth paying full admission prices." - James Berardinelli, 2007"Its characters make no apologies for who they are. They just act out, and hilarity ensues" - Jeffrey Chen, 2007
