After the house blows up, while Johnny is arguing with Zatch he mentions the former residence being in Ocean Park, which is in Santa Monica, California. The location of the actual house is in Hermosa Beach, which is about 15 miles south of Ocean Park, though it's implied that Johnny and Adam lived in Santa Monica (they pass by the Santa Monica Pier as they're driving to school).
