Did you know?
As Rupert Boneham rested by the Drake tribe's raft after the swim to shore that kicked off the game, the Morgan tribe parked their raft next to him and headed into the village to purchase and barter for supplies. Noticing that several of the Morgans had left their shoes in the raft, Boneham played up the pirate theme of the show by stealing the shoes to use as barter fodder for the Drake tribe.

John Cochran became the 2nd player, after James "J.T." Thomas, to play a perfect game of Survivor. On the 26th edition (Caramoan), Cochran did not receive any votes prior to the Final Tribal Council and swept the $1 million vote by an 8-0 margin against Dawn and Sherri. JT remains the only Survivor winner ever to get all the votes in a two-person final; both Cochran and Fiji winner Earl Cole left two other contestants without any final votes.

What happens if a contestant breaks the rules?
All contestants sign a nine-page contract before being subjected into the competition. These rules are not explicitly revealed on television, and they are to be followed by every Survivor contestant, or face expulsion with possible forfeiture of any prize money, and in some cases, incarceration. On occasion, Jeff will shout at a contestant who is close to breaking a rule, and tell them not to do something, such as "No choking".During season 8, Richard Hatch sexually harassed a female contestant during a challenge. Jeff Probst, however, did not notice this, and did not comment on this at the time. The production team didn't interfere with this either. It is unclear what happened to Hatch afterwards.
