The hospital scene at the end features three actors from the original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). John Dugan, who played Grandfather in the original film, is the cop. Paul A. Partain, who played Franklin Hardesty in the original film, is the orderly. Marilyn Burns, who played Sally Hardesty in the original film, is the patient on the gurney (credited as "Anonymous").
When Jenny is standing at the open door of Vilmer's truck, asking him where Sean is, she has her left hand resting on the truck door. In the next shot it's her right hand resting on the door, and then her left again in the next shot.
When Vilmer is standing on Darla's throat, we see her laying across the floor horizontally away from him, but in the next shot, we see that she is laying vertically to him.
What are the differences between the Standard Version and the Extended Version?
A
The Standard Version was released in most of the countries worldwide, it's the most common version. According to the IMDB, the scenes were removed for the release in 1997. The German DVD for instance only contains the Standard Version as well do the US DVDs. The Japanese LD contains the Extended Version. The easiest way to get the Extended Version is buying the Canadian DVD because LionsGate released it there (English audio track, no subs). The front cover looks pretty much like the US DVD by Columbia Tristar but as mentioned the US DVD is just a release of the Standard Version. In total the Extended Version is approx. 5 minutes longer and a detailed comparison between both cuts with pictures can be found here.
