Did you know?
The gag of Goofy skiing the wrong way came about as a compromise between two story men. One drew Goofy going to the left, while the other insisted on drawing him facing to the right. After much discussion, someone suggested the gag as a way of combining the two directions.

GOOFY HOLLER: First instance of the "Goofy Holler" ("Yaah-hoo-hoo-hooey!"), heard as a yodel after Goofy attempts the "Shush" downhill run on a vertical slope. Hannes Schroll, a Swiss yodeler, recorded yodels for the animated short. The "Goofy Holler" got such a strong laugh from audiences watching the short that it was included in nearly every "Goofy" animated short thereafter.
