Child actor Scotty Beckett's problems as an adult included arrests for drunk driving, and a particularly serious accident in 1959 in which he crashed his car into a tree. Ironically, in the 1936 movie "The Case Against Mrs. Ames", Beckett, playing a six-year old boy, crashed his kiddie-car into a tree.
