The short film reveals why Jack (Kyra) was mad with Riddick, for leaving her, mentioned by Imam in "The Chronicles of Riddick". After Jack shoots and kills Antonia Chillingsworth. Imam expresses his concern with Riddick that Jack will become a cold-blooded killer like Riddick and Riddick decides to drop off both Jack and Imam and Helion Prime.

The purpose of the short film was to bridge the 5 year gap between "Pitch Black" and "The Cronichles of Riddick".

Rhianna Griffiths returned to provide the voice of Jack. But did not return for "The Chronicles of Riddick" and the role was recast with Alexas Davalos.

Chillingsworth: People die in this line of work, Junner. A handful of men? A small price to pay.
