Did you know?
The original Dukes - Tom Wopat, John Schneider and Catherine Bach - were all offered cameos in this movie. All three declined because they had read the screenplay and hated it.

After Cooter has had a visit from Rosco, he calls a friend of his by using the speed dial on his phone. The sound of the numbers being dialed is the same as the horn from General Lee after its makeover.

During the scene where Bo is dragging Luke and the safe and they hit the security guards car notice the relatively small amount of damage on the front fender of the Taurus. When the camera flashes back to the guard and Taurus it's totaled. Radiator steam is coming out of the hood and it never hit the front of the car.

While sitting in traffic in the outskirts of Atlanta, it's obvious that the car is sitting higher up on a trailer, as opposed to resting on the pavement. The windows of the General Lee are at the same level as a Ford Expedition, a much taller vehicle.

What are the differences between the Theatrical Version and the Unrated Version?
For the lucrative PG-13 rating, the movie had to be cut in some scenes. All scenes with nudity or sexual allusions had to be censored, but also some of the pursuits were trimmed. On the release date in the USA, the Unrated Edition was immediately released together with the Theatrical Cut. A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.
