Scenes were filmed with Emilia Fox as Lynne Frederick, Peter Sellers's fourth wife, but these were omitted from the final print. However they are featured on the DVD.
The characters that come to haunt Peter Sellers in his dream (while he is being resuscitated in hospital) are Mr Robinson (The Ladykillers (1955)), Grand Duchess Gloriana XII (The Mouse That Roared (1959)), Aldo Vanucci (After the Fox (1966)), Lionel Meadows (Never Let Go (1960)), President Merkin Muffley and Dr Strangelove (Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)), and Inspector Clouseau (Pink Panther series). The voice of Fred Kite (I'm All Right Jack (1959)) is also heard, but the character does not appear.
Sellers, along with some ladies, is seen riding in a stretch limousine version of a late-1980s Mercury Grand Marquis. This scene is supposed to be set sometime between Sellers' divorce from Britt Ekland in 1968 and the filming of The Pink Panther Strikes Again in 1976, and Sellers died in 1980, years before this car was was in production.
The soundtrack does not match Peter's life chronology. He couldn't listen to Tom Jones's "It's not Unusual" when he met Britt Ekland in 1964 (one year before it was released), Marvin Gaye's "I heard it through the grapevine" the same year (actually released in 1967) and David Bowie's "Space Oddity" divorcing Britt in 1968 (actually released one year later).
