Filmed entirely on location. Daytime scenes were filmed using only natural light. For night time scenes, the crew again used as many practicals as possible (table lamps, fixtures already at the location, etc.) rather than rigging large lighting kits that would have required a generator (the crew did not use one).
May mentions that her daughter's flat is located on Benbow Road. This is the name of the real street in London where the location of the daughter's flat is situated.
When May is telling Darren about her affair and just before she asks him to take her to bed, Darren does not have a carpenter's pencil in his ear. When we see him a few moments later, the pencil is over his ear.
When Darren and Toots are discussing cricket, the reflections of crew equipment and the camera dolly mount are visible in the glass of the sunroom windows.
