In Ashley's apartment prior to and at the party, the black dress that Ashley is wearing has a shoulder strap over her right shoulder. When she returns from the party, the strap remains on her right shoulder until she sits down. The strap then changes location to her left shoulder when the camera angle changes.

What is 'The Perfect Roommate' about?

When Marty Renington (Peter Michael Dillon) is arrested for murder, his wife Carrie (Boti Bliss) divorces him but is forced to take a job as a waitress in order to make ends meet. There, she meets working student Ashley Dunnfield (Ashley Leggat), daughter of real estate magnate Richard Dunnfield (William R. Moses). When Carrie tells Ashley that her roommate Frank recently died and that she has nowhere to live, Ashley offers to let Carrie stay with her until she can find a place. When Ashley goes into anaphylactic shock after mistakenly eating fish, Carrie calls Ashley's father and has her rushed to the hospital. Unbeknown to Ashley, however, it was Carrie who laced her food with fish katsua sauce in an effort to meet her super rich father. Sometimes it's better to live alone.
