Lead actor Tony Curran badly tore a ligament in his knee in a skiing accident 1 week before shooting. He arrived at the shoot on crutches, and unable to walk more than one step. Several scenes had to be re-storyboarded to shoot around the problem that the lead actor was virtually immobile.
