Q
Is this a remake of the Stanley Kubrick movie "The Shining"?
A
No. Both movies are inspired by the Stephen King novel "The Shining", but this version does not draw any inspiration from Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of the novel. The creation of this miniseries is attributed to Stephen King's dissatisfaction with the 1980 version of the story by director Stanley Kubrick.
